By April 2022, public trust in institutions had been strained by years of political conflict, pandemic reversals, and nonstop media warfare.
Rather than offering a single answer, the painting reflects the confusion of the moment. Competing voices crowd the canvas, each claiming authority while undermining the others.
Looking back, Where’s the Truth or Lie stands as a record of a period when uncertainty itself became a political force. The War rages on in Ukraine as the inhumanity to man continues. Elon Musk announces he is buying Twitter for $44 Billion dollars and the Left goes absolutely Nuts! DHS initiates a new "Disinformation Board" to police "Disinformation" and names Nina Jankowicz as the "Minister of Truth."
This "Supercalafraglistic" nutcase is only in office 3 weeks before video is leaked of her bias and silly singing, so the Disinformation Board was put on hold because of so called "Disinformation." Biden called Trump the "Ultra MAGA King" in reference to Republicans Biden believes are "Extremists." MAGA stands for "Make America Great Again" and what's extreme about that? Biden is implicated in Hunter's laptop scandal and Matt Gaetz enters the laptop files into the Congressional Record. "The 50 Spies Who Lied" including Brennan and Clapper are being exposed as Hunter's laptop is found to be true and not "Disinformation." Governor Desantis signs a bill protecting "Parents Rights" and the Left calls it the "Don't Say Gay Bill" which is a total lie. It protects children from inappropriate sex education and grooming. Desantis is also in a battle with Disney calling it "The Wokest Place on Earth." Jen Psaki, the other purveyor of "Disinformation" announced she's leaving the White House for a new job at MSNBC. And last but not least Will Smith slaps the Shit out of Chris Rock during the televised Oscar broadcast screaming "Keep my Wife's name outta your Fucking Mouth!" which ultimately got him Canceled. Where’s the Truth or Lie confronts that atmosphere directly, asking whether citizens could still distinguish fact from narrative in an age of competing agendas and constant information overload.
