Closing out 2023, the political temperature continues to rise on multiple fronts. Election-year positioning intensifies, courtroom battles expand, border disputes sharpen, and international conflicts add pressure to an already strained national atmosphere. It's Getting Hot in Here reflects a country experiencing escalation on nearly every front. It is Official...Congress votes to open the Official Impeachment Inquiry of Joe Biden. There should be fireworks in 2024. Mr. "Green Sweatshirt' Zelenskyy arrives in Washington to beg for more money for his war in Ukraine. He's off the radar now that the war with Israel and Hamas is front and center in the news. Congress informed him there will be no more money until we secure our Border! Speaking of the Border...Our Southern Border is wide open and on December 7th 12,000 illegals crossed into Arizona making it the largest crossing in history. This is a deliberate Invasion. Thousands of illegals are pouring in through the Southern Border daily and reports show there is 1 Border Patrol Agent for every 200 illegal immigrants. Calls to impeach Mayorkas grow stronger. Trump blasted as "Racist and Hitler" for saying "illegals are poisoning the blood of our Country." Hunter Biden is indicted on 9 federal tax charges in California.
Will this impede his testimony before Congress? Hunter then pulls a fast one. Hunter speaks on the Senate side of the Capitol on the day he is to be deposed. "Let me state as clear as I can my Father was not "financially" involved in my business." Hmmm. financially? I thought Joe was not involved at all? Their message keeps shape shifting. SCOTUS denies Special Counsel's request for expedited review of the Trump case. Huge decision. Trump renames "The Green New Deal...The Green New Scam." Supremes to hear case that could undo charges for Trump and January 6th Protesters. Elon Musk reinstates Trump's Twitter/X account and heads explode.
Trump is the most censored person in the World! It's Getting Hot in Here works both literally and metaphorically. Beyond climate or weather, it points to a period when politics, public anger, and unresolved crises were all reaching a higher temperature at once.
