Biden's Destructive First Year

Every painting in Chronicle of an Unquiet Age documents the defining events, people, and issues that shaped its moment in history. Created in real time as events unfolded, each work serves as both an original oil painting and a historical record, reflecting the belief that the news of today is the history of tomorrow.

TRTA-2022-037 | January 2022 | Oil on Canvas | 34" x 26"

Biden's Destructive First Year,  concludes work from The Next Chapter series and reflects the intense criticism and political frustration surrounding the completion of the administration’s first year in office. After twelve months shaped by inflation concerns, border debates, foreign policy setbacks, pandemic disputes, and declining public confidence, the painting serves as a year-end reckoning.

In this painting we see Biden's one year anniversary and he is being called "The Master of Disaster." inflation in the low 30's, Border is wide open creating the worst Humanitarian crisis in Presidential History. Democrats are now touting Hillary Clinton as the possible "Change Candidate for 2024." In a speech regarding Putin invading Ukraine Biden suggests "a lesser penalty for a minor incursion." Biden called "The Great Divider" calls Republicans which is half the country...traitors and racists by not agreeing with his feckless policies. Even Main Stream Media is questioning Biden and his Administration. Greg Gutfeld calls "Biden the "Flurona of Presidents" a combination of incompetence confusion and doom." Nancy Pelosi is being investigated for insider trading. Trump says enough is enough and hold on I'm comin' and they want their country back."

So we shall see. This painting is a visual summary of the controversies that defined the period. The title conveys the sharp partisan judgment and broader dissatisfaction expressed by critics as Biden's first presidential year ccomes to a close.

This work preserves the atmosphere of fatigue, anger, and uncertainty that marked the transition into 2022. And now this closes The Next Chapter by recording how one presidency’s opening year became a focal point for debate over leadership, policy, and America’s direction.
