The beginning of November 2025 also carried the feeling that a larger chain of events was only beginning. New investigations, policy rollouts, international negotiations, and political countermoves suggested that recent changes were not an endpoint but an opening stage. And So It Begins captures the sense of momentum gathering toward consequences still unseen. "Elections Have Consequences "and "Communism and Socialism" are now here. After 25 years of "Never Forget" it seems New Yorkers have Forgotten. New York City has elected Ugandan Communist Socialist Zoran Mandami as Mayor of New York. Welcome to New Yorkistan. New Yorkers may soon realize "Free is Not Free" and on day one Mandami ditches his platform and asks for Money. Mandami will be sworn in on January 1, 2026. In Mandami's victory speech he told Trump to "Get to any of us...you'll have to get through all of us" which may mean protecting illegals in NYC to which Trump replied "And so it Begins" hence the title of this painting. Nancy Pelosi announces she will not seek reelection. finally. Governor Newsom states he hates lying politicians says the lying politician. Unreal. Jim Jordan from Ohio introduces the "America First Citizenship Act" banning anyone not born in the U.S. from serving in Congress or the White House....And So It Begins. Nearly one million New Yorkers are ready to leave now that Mandami is Mayor. UHaul is fixing to make a Haul! November 5th is the One Year Anniversary of Trump's election. In regard to the election of Mandami Trump states " We lost a bit of sovereignty in New York, But we'll take care of it, Don't worry." Democrat Mikie Sherril wins for Governor of New Jersey, Democrat Abigail Spanberger wins Governor of Virginia and Dems elect Jay Jones AG of Virginia who wanted to kill his GOP rival and his 2 young children. Looks like the "Red Green Alliance is coming to America and Mandami is the first real experiment and a nexus between radical progressive groups to Islamists migrating to America. And By the Way... The Government is still shutdown. And So It Begins is understated but loaded with implication. The painting preserves a period when many Americans believed the true effects of the year’s upheavals were only starting to unfold.
