Titled All the Shiny Objects, this work from Tipping Point in America and the World captures a month when spectacle, distraction, and national security concerns collided. In February 2023, the United States shot down a Chinese surveillance balloon after it crossed American airspace, triggering intense debate over sovereignty, military readiness, and delayed response. The incident quickly dominated headlines while other domestic and foreign crises continued to build. The Chinese Spy Balloon flew over the entire United States for more than 5 days collecting data on Military installations and reporting back to China. It is finally shot down off the coast of the South Carolina coast and the Government is unable or unwilling to collect the debris. Biden says China said it was embarrassed and the incident was a mistake and misunderstanding.
Why would the Biden Administration allow this to continue? Makes no sense.
As Jesse Watter said "China has us by the balloons!" Joey Jones was quoted as saying" China is not embarrassed as Biden said, "They are collecting data...Joe Biden let us know something!" Everyday is getting more and more crazy and as Sarah Huckabee Sanders said "Biden is doubling down on Crazy."
