Age of Rage

Every painting in Chronicle of an Unquiet Age documents the defining events, people, and issues that shaped its moment in history. Created in real time as events unfolded, each work serves as both an original oil painting and a historical record, reflecting the belief that the news of today is the history of tomorrow.

TRTA-2024-094 | April 2024 | Oil on Canvas | 32" x 26"

By mid-April 2024, public anger had become one of the defining forces of the national mood. As Time Has Come advanced through election season, protests, courtroom battles, culture-war disputes, inflation pressures, and relentless online conflict fed an atmosphere of permanent confrontation. Age of Rage captures a period when outrage itself seemed to drive events. Protests across America against U.S. and Israel. Anti-Sematism reminds us all of the 1930's Nazi Germany. Americans are asking "Is this America?" We are strangers in our own land as Patriotic Americans do not recognize their beloved country. Protesters are for Hamas and against Israel. What is going on? Pro-Palenstine protest erupts at Columbia University with chants "We are all Hamas." Anger Hate Vitriol Rage ...Biden's America...Intifada Intifada! chants across America.and Universities. Hamas issues statement supporting students supporting Hamas. These

Pro-Hamas Pro-Palestine Anti-Israel protests are 5th Column stuff. Universities across the country are funded by Soros and other dark money. On April 18th Isreal strikes back against Iran very near their nuclear sites. Trump's trial starts April 22tnd and who is Matthew Colangelo and why is he giving opening statements?  Congress and Speaker Johnson approve $64 Billion to protect Ukraine and $0.00 to protect U.S. Border. Schumer and the Senate kill the Impeachment of Mayorkas as Schumer deems "impeachment unconstitutional." Biden asks the question "How many times does Trump have to prove we can't be trusted." Opps... Biden just said the quiet part out loud. Biden agrees to debate Trump...date to be determined and this should be very nteresting. Age of Rage suggests more than temporary frustration. It reflects an era in which anger had become currency, strategy, and spectacle all at once. The painting preserves a moment when many Americans felt the volume of public life had been turned permanently upward.
