Transition to Greatness

Every painting in Chronicle of an Unquiet Age documents the defining events, people, and issues that shaped its moment in history. Created in real time as events unfolded, each work serves as both an original oil painting and a historical record, reflecting the belief that the news of today is the history of tomorrow.

TRTA-2025-108 | April 2025 | Oil on Canvas | 32" x 26"

April 2025 reflected a country adjusting to rapid change after the opening months of a new administration. Policy reversals, institutional shakeups, economic expectations, and renewed national confidence among supporters created the sense that a larger transformation was underway. Transition to Greatness captures the belief that disruption was leading toward renewal. Happy Liberation Day April 2, 2025. Trump proves to the World he holds the cards and the days of taking advantage of the U.S. is over. Trump announces 125% tariffs on China and a 90 day pause on riciprical tariffs while keeping 10% across the board in place. SCOTUS rules against Judge Boasberg and grants Trump the power to use the "Alien Enemies Act of 1798" to deport dangerous illegals. House passes HR1526 restricting rogue district judges from issuing nationwide injunctions against presidential policies. Immigration Judge rules Columbia University activist Mahmoud Khalil can be deported from the U.S. "Operation Bubblewrap" means Biden's Presidency could be in question as numerous insiders and staffers in Biden's Administration are writing books revealing just how incapacitiated Biden was for 4 years andAmericans  begin questioning the  pardons using the Autopen.

Did Biden's decline and cognative abilities leave the door open for staffers and family to push through radical policies and pardons with out his knowing?  There's a new word being used. "Panican" is a new party based on weak and stupid people.""Don't be a "Panican" Trump suggests "Be strong courageous and patient. Greatness will result." Transition to Greatness is aspirational by design. Whether viewed as progress or branding, the painting preserves a moment when many Americans believed the country was entering a stronger and more assertive chapter.
