Watershed Moment

Every painting in Chronicle of an Unquiet Age documents the defining events, people, and issues that shaped its moment in history. Created in real time as events unfolded, each work serves as both an original oil painting and a historical record, reflecting the belief that the news of today is the history of tomorrow.

TRTA-2025-122 | September 2025 | Oil on Canvas | 34" x 26"

September 2025 became a month of accumulating shocks, most notably the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, an event that sent immediate shockwaves through American political life. The assassination intensified fears over rising extremism, public safety, and the growing danger surrounding ideological conflict. Watershed Moment captures the sense that the country had crossed into more serious and unstable territory. A Watershed Moment is defined as an event or period marking a "Turning Point" in a course of action or state of affairs." Charlie Kirk's Memorial is September 21, 2025 in Glendale Arizona. The service was viewed by millions of people who heard the message of faith, hope and of Jeasus Christ. The Left is still celebrating the brutal killing as many employers are firing those posting hateful messages on Social Media.  ABC pulls "Jimmy Kimmel Live" off the air after Kimmel's offensive Charlie Kirk comments. Cancel Culture is driven by desire to silence half the country and the Left hoped Charlie's death would stop his movement but it has only just begun. Widow Erika Kirk will now lead Turning Point USA as Chair and CEO. Charlie Kirk was a man of Peace and as Elon Musk stated "Charlie was murdered by the Dark for showing people the Light."

In other news James Comey is arrested September 26, 2025 for obstruction and lying to Congress. Would be assassin Ryan Routh is found guilty and tries to stab himself in the neck after the verdict is read.

Watershed Moment suggests a historic dividing line rather than a single tragedy alone. The painting in real time preserves a moment when many Americans believed the killing of a prominent conservative voice marked a profound shift in the nation’s political climate.
